Crysis 2 is now out in the United States and the developer Crytek that has worked on the game has already launched a patch for it, with the biggest change introduced being that the PC version now had no trace of an auto aim feature.

This is the full list of fixes for the first Crysis 2 patch:

- the server browser now shows correct pings; - all multiplayer matches now launch with no hang-ups; - the speed for the text chat has been pushed up; - players now have unrestricted access to the in-game console; - the developers have implemented cheat detection in order to make sure that all multiplayer gaming is done with equal resources; - USB headset problems have been addressed; - the hologram icon now disappears after being used; - all auto aim has been removed from the game after players have expressed their position in “overwhelming” manner.

The developers say that the patch will be automatically downloaded when Crysis 2 is launched and that they are not planning to put up a separate download for it.

The patch has done nothing to address the fact that PC gamers can currently only play Crysis 2 using DirectX 9.0, but the developers are saying that they are working on adding support for DirectX 11 in the near term in order to unlock the full potential of the game graphics.

Crysis 2 moves the action to New York, which has been invaded by aliens that now seem to be using a whole new array of weapons and mechs.

Humanity has also been developing better armament, mainly seen in a new Nanosuit, which allows the player to use more than one power at the same time and delivers more tactical options.

Crysis 2 can be played on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 from Sony and PC.
