A new expansion for Crusader Kings II has been announced by Paradox Interactive and it will be available on Steam for Linux.

The forthcoming expansion, titled Crusader Kings II: The Old Gods, will bring a lot of new features to an already complex game, including the ability to play as a Pagan or Zoroastrian ruler, expanding empires through war, pillaging, and ruthless brutality.

According to the developers, players will also be able to begin their in-game reign as far back as the year 867 AD, making The Old Gods officially the Paradox title that spans the longest period in history.

Crusader Kings II probably is the most accurate historic simulation to date and the developers have already launched a few other DLCs, including Legacy of Rome, The Republic, and Sword of Islam.
