Crusader Kings II is set to receive a new pierce of downloadable content called The Old Gods at the end of the month and the team working on it is delivering a full video diary that talks about the role pagans will play in the new game experience.

Henrik Fahraeus, the leader of the developers, talks about the way in which non-Christians will use a number of new gameplay features and how they can reshape Europe in their own vision.

The start date for The Old Gods is set for 867 AD and will feature Vikings raiding the continent from the North, while Slavic tribes in the East are resisting efforts from more civilized countries to spread Christianity.

The Norse, the Slavic tribes and the Baltic factions will each have distinct personalities and abilities to make them fearsome adversaries.
