Crusader Kings II has recently received the Way of Life expansion from the team at Paradox Development Studio and players who love the grand strategy experience can now also place orders for some special Limited Editions of the game, clearly designed to appeal to long-term fans.

The company says that the Royal, Crown Heir and Noble versions of the title will only be offered for a limited time and are solid gifts for those who want to offer something interesting to a gamer in the coming weeks.

The main attraction is merchandise linked to the franchise, with some cool models for T-shirts and mouse pads, all signed by the development team.

The Royal version of Crusader Kings II also comes with a flash, a story book and a one-year membership to the Paradoxian Order, complete with an invitation to one of the fan gatherings the company is planning to organize in 2015.

The images attached to this article show the exact differences between the limited editions of the title that are now offered.

It’s unclear whether Paradox Interactive has plans to introduce similar limited numbered editions for other titles in its catalog, like Europa Universalis IV or the upcoming Hearts of Iron IV.

Crusader Kings II might be nearing the end of its support period

The Way of Life expansion for Crusader Kings II seems to be the final one launched for the grand strategy title and does not introduce fundamental changes to the core mechanics.

The Focus concept is interesting for a minority of players and will certainly prove a solid addition for modders, but Paradox seems to have run out of ideas to expand the title.

At the moment, most of the resources of the company are focused on Hearts of Iron IV, which is supposed to arrive at some point in the early months of 2015.

The game takes players once again to World War II and allows them to experience the conflict from the perspective of whatever country they want.

Paradox wants to make the experience more approachable than ever, while offering more realism for the way technology and army management work.

The company is also probably working on more content for Europa Universalis IV, which could benefit from better internal management options for countries and a new take on the way subterfuge can be used to bring down enemies.
