Zomboko Entertainment has announced their new first-person shooter, Crossing the Line, coming to the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

The game is being built on Crytek's CryEngine, and it features a protagonist on a quest to rescue his love interest, by going back and forth between the realm of the living and the dead.

Developer Zomboko Entertainment intends to deliver a realistic and cinematic experience with Crossing the Line, an immersive journey into one man's fight with evil, based around his unique ability.

"Though, you can't do it at any moment, shifting will be availabe only after a certain sequence of player actions. But don't overuse this ability – very frequent visits of the dead world could hurt the main character or even kill him. Initially, the visual style was intended to be depressive, dark but later, it was decided to make more cinematic and realistic everything around the player for deeper immersion into game world and its events," Zomboko describes the upcoming game on their website.

In addition to the text blurb, developer Zomboko Entertainment has also published a number of revealing screenshots.

Crossing the Line definitely looks like an ambitious and interesting undertaking, so it's going to be intriguing to see what Zomboko will deliver.
