Sony has cleared things up concerning its Cross Buy system for the PlayStation Vita handheld console, confirming that the feature, which gives PS3 owners of a game a free copy for the Vita, would be made available in North America, not just in Europe.

PS Vita owners were treated with a big surprise last week, when Sony confirmed the Cross Buy system, which allows someone who gets a PS3 game like PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, to receive a free copy of the same title for the PS Vita.

Sadly, judging by statements from Sony’s Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida, it seemed that the system was going to be released only in Europe.

Now, Yoshida has posted a new statement on his personal Twitter account, confirming that Cross Buy would also be released in North America.

As of yet, the only territory that has yet to be confirmed is Japan, but Yoshida says that a decision will be made soon.
