There are big chances you have never heard of this free massively multiplayer online role playing game (
MMORPG) called
Cronous and we can't blame you for that - we didn't know anything about it until now. But, as the developers decided to improve the title a little bit, it has become a worth noting one - a game that will hopefully get better and better till it reaches perfection.
Until then, though, there is still a long way to go and this one year anniversary update prepared for Cronous is just the first step. Dubbed
Evolution and presented as a "gallant renovation" of the game, it brings to life a bunch of vital features for a MMORPG, like a new, user-friendly interface with easier controls, an easier but more balanced experience table and leveling as well as various visual improvements. Two new maps with a rather strange name (Twin Towers) will each bring 101 floors of dungeons for the players and lots of new monsters, as well as new zone bosses to challenge. Also, there is a vital thing for any MMO that wants to survive in the wilderness - a beginner's guide has been created, which means that it's now safe for you to start playing the game: you won't have any unpleasant surprises.
Since it is a one year celebration, after all, the developers have added a bunch of new events, too, with the first three in the series kicking off this week. So, you should expect a drop rate of most rare and unique growth items increased by six times and double experience gaining during this period. And that, promise the developers, is just the beginning, since the celebration is planned to last until late August. So, if you are really curious to see how a Korean MMO looks like, head to the
official website of Cronous: Evolution and see for yourself.
