Kim Kardashian is making her big acting debut in Tyler Perry’s “Temptation,” where she plays a marriage counselor. The role might be minor but, right now, all that most critics seem to be talking about is how awful she is in it.

Though in promotional interviews Kim stressed that she only wanted a break and would do anything to get it (so she was thankful that Perry gave her such an opportunity), critics are proving merciless in their appraisal of the role.

Kardashian, it seems, is too wooden, too nasal and too much herself in front of the camera to actually be said to be “acting.” It’s obvious that Perry only chose her because he wanted the media attention that comes with her name.

Radar Online has summed up several of the most negative reviews.

“Kim Kardashian [is] as nasal and awful an actress as you might imagine,” Alonso Duralde of The Wrap writes.

“And Kim Kardashian, as the protagonist’s [expletive]-y fashionista coworker, vainly trying to act,” Time Out writes, giving the entire film just one star.

“Her coworker Ava is played by Kim Kardashian, a true feat of stunt casting that’s only made all the more impressive by her inability to inject the slightest bit of emotion into her steady stream of insults,” Hollywood.com’s Jenni Miller says about Kardashian.

“It is there we also meet the Kim Kardashian character. Let’s just say that the question of whether the celebrity gossip maven can act is answered within 60 seconds of her cold absence of any feeling performance,” Joel D’Amos of Moviefanatic writes.

All in all, if Kim was looking to win over the critics with her role, it’s clear that she’s failed – and miserably so no less.

As for the fans, that’s probably an entirely different matter and one you should have your say on: so let us know in the comments section below if you’ve seen “Temptation” yet and, more importantly, if you liked Kim’s performance in it.
