Cristiano Ronaldo Makes Successful Man U Return

Although the English media did not announce Cristiano Ronaldo as part of Alex Ferguson's team for the Oxford United friendly, the Portuguese was part of the starting line-up for Manchester. And, just to make things even with the "red devils"
supporters, he made a remarkable comeback into the team.

Ronaldo scored twice for his team as Manchester United extended their winning streak to 3 games. And, against Oxford, there was never a question of who's going to win, but of how many goals United will score. And, if talking about scoring goals, we have to talk about Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese passed for the first goal and managed two great finishing in the match. Although the Oxford fans booed him from beginning to end, the Manchester ones ended their personal war with the player. More, when substituted in the second half, the Man U supporters applauded the midfielder.

"It was Cristiano's first game back and I thought he handled it very well. He took his goals very well. They were both great strikes and he got a terrific reception from the United supporters as well and all in all, he did very well", agreed Alex Ferguson after the match.

And, after all, this is what Ronaldo needed in the first place: a good relationship with his Man U fans. Although many of the English supporters are still mad at him after the World Cup episode - when he winked his Portuguese colleagues after contributing to Wayne Rooney's sent off - Ronaldo couldn't have started his Premiership season better than this.

Manchester United will play FC Sevilla later this week, in their last "strong friendly" of the pre-championship campaign. The match will get under way on Saturday, at Old Trafford.
