Ciccarese Design envisions the rumored low-cost 2013 iPhone

If you’re curious to know what Apple’s new 2013 iPhone will look like (at least the budget version), look no further than the latest mockups from Ciccarese Design.

Commissioned by MacRumors amid several recent leaks, the mockups pictured in the gallery below aim to depict the rumored “cheap” iPhone coming this fall alongside the more expensive iPhone 5S.

By no means has Apple confirmed any of the two devices, but common sense tells us it’s fairly possible these rumors will materialize.

For some, the iPhone 5S is too much to stomach. After all, it would be the most predictable iPhone upgrade yet – the third incremental release of the iPhone with little to no major enhancements.

Not to mention that design is a critical factor in the marketing of any Apple product. A repetitive predictability in this department will hurt sales badly.

But suppose the iPhone 5S is still on the table for this year. Apple needs an extra something to re-ignite the fire in the hearts of its long-time fans, and in the hearts of newcomers alike.

Enter the budget/cheap/low-cost 2013 iPhone, whatever you want to call it. If the Cupertino giant ends up rolling out a phone that looks like Ciccarese Design’s renderings, we’re sold.

The phone looks brilliant in every one of the four color options depicted here, and notice how well each color blends with the white facade.

A black version is also rumored to be in the pipeline. That one will most likely have a black face.

The technical specs are said to be on par with the iPhone 5, which isn’t bad at all.

Price-wise, we wouldn’t want to kick off any speculation, but if Apple really wants to double its iPhone customer base, it will have to charge no more than $250-$300 / €250-€300.

Leave your impressions in the comments. Think Apple has something like this prepared for us this year?
