14 DAY TRIAL // Cricket and Best Buy have just announced a new partnership that will bring the carrier's Muve Music service and new handsets to major retailer's customers.
Under agreement, the Muve Music and new, all-inclusive Cricket monthly voice products will be available in more than 1,300 Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores across the country, starting September 25.
Cricket's move is part of the carrier's major retail expansion meant to bring its products and services to consumers in additional markets across the country.
Specifically, three handsets will be available with Muve Music at Best Buy for the holiday shopping season.
In addition to the already launched Samsung Vitality smartphone and ZTE Score, a new feature-phone, the ZTE Chorus, will be introduced at Best buy later this year.
According to Cricket, Samsung Vitality will be available for a suggested retail price of $199.99 (about 148 EUR), ZTE Score will go on sale for $129.99 (about 96 EUR), while the upcoming ZTE Chorus will be priced at $99.99 (roughly 74 EUR).
“Our partnership with Best Buy, one of the country's most trusted names in national retail, will allow Cricket to significantly expand our distribution footprint nationwide with products like our popular music service Muve Music which is among the fastest growing music services in the country,” said Doug Hutcheson, president and chief executive officer of Leap Wireless.
In addition, Best Buy customers will be able to enjoy unlimited song downloads, ringtones, and ringback tones, as well as nationwide calling, including unlimited text, picture, video messaging and 3G mobile data at only $55 per month via Muve Music Smartphone rate plan.
A cheaper Muve Music feature phone rate plan will also be available for only $45 monthly.
Two new feature-phones will be launched at Best Buy, the Huawei Pillar and the Samsung Chrono, which will be available for a suggested retail price of $69.99 (about 52 EUR) and $39.99 (about 30 EUR), respectively.
Huawei Pillar and Samsung Chrono will be available on two new Cricket PAYG (pay as you go) plans at $25 and $35 per month.
