Rumored more than a week ago, Samsung Vitality has just been confirmed at Cricket and will soon be available for $200 with a $20 instant rebate.

According to Cricket, this is carrier's first Android smartphone to feature Muve Music service and the second Samsung device, after Samsung Suede.

However, Cricket plans to expand its portfolio of Muve Music enabled handsets, as more handsets are expected to be launched later this year.

Customers can subscribe to Cricket's Muve Music wireless unlimited plan for only $65 per month on the Samsung Vitality or $55 per month on the Samsung Suede.

We are excited to bring Muve Music to Android on the Samsung Vitality. Muve Music is among the fastest growing music services in the U.S. and we believe Muve Music on Android will further accelerate our growth and help Cricket appeal to music lovers everywhere,” said Jeff Toig, general manager of Muve Music for Cricket.

Hardware-wise, Samsung Vitality is a budget Android smarpthone, which is optimized for a superior music experience.

The smartphone is powered by Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform and features an 800MHz processor.

It provides full access to the Android Market, as well as Google's full suite of apps, including Gmail, Google Maps and Google Talk.

Cricket delivers the Samsung Vitality with a free Muve Music 4GB SanDisk flash memory card, which holds up to 3,000 songs and has 1GB set aside for other multimedia content such as photos and videos.

In addition, an 8GB Muve Music memory card that holds up to 6,000 songs will be available for purchase.

The Vitality pairs a brilliant design with a fun and intuitive experience, making it a perfect choice for any smartphone user,” said Dale Sohn, president of Samsung Mobile.

Samsung Vitality comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display, a 3.2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, and built-in GPS receiver.
