Leap Wireless' wholly-owned carrier, Cricket has just announced the upcoming availability of two new unlimited international calling plans, a Mexico rate plan and a global rate plan.
Cricket customers who want to subscribe to any of the two plans should know that they will get unlimited local talk and US long distance, domestic and global messaging and mobile web.
However, the Mexico rate plan, which is available for $55 monthly, also offers subscribers a Mexico local number, 30 minutes of use monthly for calls to a Mexico mobile phone and 500 minutes of use monthly for calls to a Mexican landline phone.
On the other hand, the global rate plan, which is available for $65 monthly, offers customers a global local number, 30 minutes of use monthly to an international mobile phone and 500 minutes of use monthly to call an international landline number.
“These new calling products give our customers multiple ways to stay connected with their family members, friends and business associates outside the U.S. We believe these new international products are unique to the wireless industry and bring great value to our customers,” said Tyler Wallis, vice-president, product management for Cricket.
In addition, Cricket introduced new international calling products, such as Mexico and Global Local Number and unlimited global messaging global text and picture messaging.
With the Global Local Number product Cricket customers will be able to set up a local number in more than 40 different countries including the United States and Mexico.
When someone that lives in an international location calls this in-country local number, they will be charged for a local call through to the Cricket customer's phone.
Customers who want to subscribe to one of Cricket's new services will have to pay $5 monthly for a local number in Mexico and $10 monthly for local numbers in one of countries available.
Last but not least, Cricket customers will be able to send send unlimited text, picture and video messages to friends and family across the United States and the rest of the world, with the new unlimited global messaging feature, which is priced at $5 monthly.
