Cricket 2002 is a video game developed by HB Studios and published by Electronic Arts. The game was developed for the PlayStation 2 console from Sony and for the PC. It was launched in 2001. The game is classed as a sports simulation, in this case based on cricket, and has the licenses required to show real players in the game world.
Cricket 2002 offers all that you would expect from such a game. There's quite a bit of management mixed in with playing cricket matches, and keeping your players in top physical and psychological state is a must if you want to perform. Changing tactics throughout the season is required to deal with the various challenges posed by the other teams and there are times when transferring a new player is the most important move you have to make.
The game offers both an international mode, where you take charge of a national team, and a domestic mode, where you play in one of the simulated championships. The Ashes is available as a separate event where the player can choose to lead Australia and England through the period which is associated with this historic set of cricket games.

GAMEPLAY HINTS
Control field settings/placements for opponents:
This trick requires two controllers. One will be used to make the field placements and the other to bat with. When you are batting in a one player game in One Day game mode, use controller two to move your opponent's field positions. Keep controller two plugged in when choosing the game type. Keep it inserted until you play. You can use either controller to move fielding settings, as long as you are playing the game with the other one. First, wait until you are batting, then use the controller that you are not using for batting to select "Field Editor" from the pause menu. This controller can pause. Then, select the desired field placements. Use Custom 1, 2, or 3 to put the field in.
