This could this be the new “it” thing in fashion in a couple of years

Concept “shoe”: will women be getting skin heel implants in a few years' time?

There are various sayings out there claiming women would do absolutely anything in their quest for beauty, just as there are cases that prove these sayings are least partially true. On this note, BitRebels makes an interesting proposition.

Starting on the premise that women would kill for fashion or at least go through excruciating pains for it, the e-zine has created a concept shoe that is as likely in a few year's time as it's absolutely creepy.

We might as well call it the real skin stiletto implant because that's exactly what it is: a rod of something implanted into the heel, of the color of the skin, that would give women the much needed or wanted boost in height.

BitRebels believes the idea could have legs, just not now. Considering the things man does to his body on a constant basis thinking what Nature created is far from perfect, this is probably not that far-fetched an assumption.

“We have seen the odd and weird pierced people that literally changed their appearance into something unearthly assuming to get attention or to be original. So why would this not be possible as well?” BitRebels asks.

“An incorporated stiletto heel in your foot could possibly be the new 'edge.' I am sure we’ll see someone who will go all out and actually do this. To me, this is just as weird as it comes. It looks painful and alien to me, but I guess the stuff people will do to stand out will always be pushed farther and farther into the land of the weird,” the e-zine says.

While at a first glance, the idea seems doable, there are too many things working against it to ever happen, Styleite says, joining in the conversation.

Such an implant would not only be very painful, but also completely impractical and unsanitary.

Moreover, assuming a woman got it because of her love of fashion, it would come to clash against said passion for fashion.

“Most women who love fashion also love change. After all, fashion is nothing but change, and something as permanent as sticking some kind of rod into your heel for the rest of your life would preclude you from participating in one of the most important aspects of that change: shoes!” the latter e-zine argues.

Then again, stranger things have happened.
