Harmonix and MTV Games have announced that this week, legendary American rockers Creedence Clearwater Revival will be bringing some of their best known songs to Rock Band in the form of a downloadable content pack. The tracks will be delivered on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Nintendo Wii today.

The fresh content for Rock Band will include quite a bit of the best tracks that Creedence Clearwater Revival launched during their storied career. The included songs are: “Bad Moon Rising”, “Born on the Bayou”, “Down on the Corner”, “Fortunate Son (Original Version)”, “Green River”, “I Heard It Through the Grapevine”, “Lookin’ Out My Back Door”, “Proud Mary”, “Run Through the Jungle”, “Travelin’ Band”, “Up Around the Bend” and the inevitable “Who’ll Stop the Rain”, maybe the best known track ever released by Creedence Clearwater Revival. Harmonix and MTV Games are mentioning that all of the tracks have been created using the original master recordings to ensure that players get the most out of their experience.

Creedence Clearwater Revival was made up of John Fogerty, Tom Fogerty, Stu Cook and Doug Clifford and formed in San Francisco during the '60's. Overall sales of their albums reached 26 million units, which is quite a bit for the period before 1972, when it disbanded. It was inducted into the United States Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.

Those who want to pick up the Creedence Clearwater Reival Pack 01 on the Xbox 360 or on the PlayStation 3 need to pay 19.99 dollars or the equivalent of 1,600 Microsoft Points. There's also the option of only buying individual songs for 1.99 dollars. On the Nintendo Wii, each song costs 200 Wii Pints, which is 2.00 dollars.
