Kurt Sutter, the creator of the television series Sons of Anarchy, says that the universe will be used for a video game in the coming years and he promises fans that they will be able to get access to a complex and interesting experience.

He is quoted by IGN as saying that, “I cannot give you any more details, but I will tell you that there will definitely be a Sons of Anarchy game. And it’s pretty [expletive] awesome.”

He adds, “No, it’s not a board game. First person, action adventure. HD graphics. It represents the evolution of gaming.”

It’s unclear whether Sutter is talking about an actual video game that he has seen in action, which might mean that the development process is pretty far along, or if he is simply talking about potential experiences and ideas that he is currently exploring.

Back in 2012, the TV series creator also said that he was working with a major video game publisher in order to create a title based on Sons of Anarchy.

At the moment, he explained that he was aiming to deliver a full console experience, but not official announcement was made and the entire project now seems to be dead.

Rumors have suggested that Sutter was interested in working with Rockstar to create an open world title that used many of the core ideas of the Grand Theft Auto series.

Sons of Anarchy is a gripping drama about the lives of a hardcore motorcycle gang, airing on FX.

There are six seasons that have aired so far and the coming seventh should conclude the story, although it seems like a prequel might be offered in order to satisfy fans next year.

A video game experience based on Sons of Anarchy will need to capture both the morality and the brutal action that define the franchise.
