World of Warcraft has reached a stage where it is, basically, a brand all on its own. This, of course, means that any and all developers of any type of product will find it useful to associate their new gadgets with this highly successful MMORPG. Among the latest additions to the long line of WoW products is a sophisticated headset from Creative Labs. Known as the Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wireless Headset, the headgear is ready to become the best friend of any WoW fan, be they Alliance or Horde members.

The headset delivers a high-quality sound thanks to its use of the THX TruStudio PC audio technology. Secondly, cushioned earpads and a flexible headband ensure comfort during intensive gaming sessions.

Thirdly, there are two sets of interchangeable headset lenses with 16 million color LEDs (with Horde and Alliance artwork), which allow end-users to customize their product. Creative also designed the interface of the software in a way that imitated the look and feel of the game itself. Furthermore, accurate sound output over wireless is enabled by the advanced uncompressed wireless technology.

"As the leading innovator in precision audio for PC gaming we were well positioned to develop a headset that could live up to the high standards set forth by Blizzard Entertainment games," Steve Erickson, VP and GM for audio and video at Creative, said.

"The Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wireless Headset is a result of this, providing an unprecedented combination of wireless technology, THX TruStudio PC technology for enriched audio performance and a unique design that stands out from anything else available to gamers."

As an added bonus, the headset even features custom WoW-themed voice presets that alter the way the voice sounds to other players. The Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Headset is priced at $159.99 and is also available in a wired version priced at $119.99.
