Creative has launched a whole bunch of Zen models, whose only purpose was to play music files, and also a model that was also able to display photos. Still, one domain Creative hadn't approached was video; but the company's new Zen Vision, a Portable Video Player is a worthy competitor for devices such as Archos.

The player appeared for the first time at the end of last week on Cnet Australia where there is also a taped presentation of the device.

Users can admire Zen Vision from all angles and see for the first time the player's interface. From the first information we find out that this player will be available in the following months. The competition will be surprised to see a compact player with a generous 3.7 inch display with 64,000 colors, a stylish design and fitted with all the playback functions available on the market, but unable to record video from different sources.

The device includes a FM tuner, has voice recording possibilities and a speaker that project a satisfactory quality sound. The lithium-ion battery is detachable, and the 30GB internal memory can be supplemented by a CompactFlash Type I memory card.

If the price of the device is reasonable, it's likely that this player will be "the hit" of the summer.
