Creative won't quit
competing with iPod . Therefore, it has just launched Zen Vision:M as an answer to the fifth generation of iPod. The specifications of the new player sound familiar: a 2.5 inch display and a 30 GB hard disk (same
as iPod). The resolution of the display is 320 X 240 pixels (iPod!).
But there are also some differences between the players. Zen Vision:M can play up to four hours of video (twice as iPod) and 11 hours of music (iPod - 14 hours). The size of the new Creative player (62 × 104 × 19 mm) is almost as big as iPod's (61.8 × 103.5 × 11 mm). But Zen Vision:M is almost twice as thick as its Apple rival and weights 166 grams, while the iPod weights 136 grams.
Zen Vision:M hasn't a clickwheel (of course) but has a vertical scroll button, same as his smaller brother, Zen Micro Photo (let's not talk about its iPod nano resemblance). Also, Creative's menu resemblance with
Apple's is amazing, like it would have "borrowed" it.
Zen Vision:M can play MP3, MPEG-4, WMV, Motion JPEG, DivX and XviD files.
The player has also a built in FM tuner and a microphone.

You can get the Creative Zen Vision:M for 330 USD. This might be a serious rival for the iPod, but we can say that it is only a chubbier copy.
