Creative has just unveiled a new firmware package developed for its Sound Blaster EVO Zx bluetooth headset, namely version 130701a, which improves the device’s overall performance and stability.

Specifically speaking, the SB EVO Zx now has enhanced microphone performance when on a USB connection, as well as improved NFC pairing bluetooth connectivity.

Moreover, the release fixes an intermittent issue with the headset hanging while power up, and a problem with the LED and reboot feature when performing a factory reset.

Version 130701a is compatible only with the SB EVO Zx device, so don’t try to install it on other headsets, and is to be used under Microsoft’s Windows Vista, 7, and 8 operating systems, both bit-variants.

As for installing the package, just make sure the device is connected to the computer, run the downloadable file, and follow the onscreen instructions. Do not disconnect the headset or reboot the system until the upgrade is complete, so that the EVO Zx doesn’t encounter any problems.

Therefore, if you consider installing this package, follow the link below, update, and improve the performance of your Sound Blaster EVO Zx.
