The new headset that Creative just started selling is one of those product that were unveiled in the past but spent month allowing themselves to arrive fashionably late, though it will fall to users to decide whether the wait was worth it.

Headphones and headsets seem to be coming out as often as ever, although some of them take a long time to cross the introduction-release gap that sometimes appears.

The Sound Blaster Tactic3D Omega headset that online stores are finally listing for the price of $199.99 (179.99 Euro) is one such example.

Though it was officially revealed all those months ago, during January 2011, it has only now made the final step towards availability.

It is even bundled with a special accessory that combines all the benefits of a recharging station (the headset is of the wireless variety), a stand and a transmitter (Tactic3D BaseStation is what this item has as a name).

The headset's own assets are considerable, and this extends to more than the Full Spectrum 50mm drivers, which already have all that is necessary for high quality sound, including powerful bass.

The steel core, for instance, makes the headset highly durable, while the whole construction has enough room to integrate various functions.

Integrated volume control exists, for instance, as do mute and connection controls and the VoiceFX function (live music morphing).

Furthermore, Creative threw in a detachable noise-canceling microphone and support for THX TruStudio Pro Crsytalizer, THX TruStudio Pro Surround, THX TruStudio Pro SmartVolume, THX TruStudio Pro Speaker and THX TruStudio Dialog Plus.

Prospective customers need only drop by this page if they desire to place an order for the Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3D Omega.

As for those that want something to compare it with, they can check out the Razer Tiamat 7.1, a product that stick to cables but has 10 drivers.
