After the release of Creative Vision, the producer of digital multimedia devices hasn't launched any other product for the video player market.
But the Zen Micro lineup has recently been extended with Zen Micro Photo, which comes after a six month delay.
After the first series of delays,
at the end of June, the Creative representatives promised that the launching of the Photo player would take place in August, but the term got prolonged. No explanations were offered at the time.
Still, the Zen MicroPhoto was worth waiting for, the device being rewarded with one of the most prestigious IT awards: Best of CES 2005.
Creative has initially announced 5GB and 6GB versions, priced at $299 and $349 respectively. But the device was revamped to 8GB, priced at $249. According to the tech specs, the 8GB are enough to store 3,500 medium quality compressed songs.
The 1.5 inch OLED displays 256.000 colors and the device's Li-Ion battery ensures 15 hours of continuous functioning time.
