If you are interested in wireless speakers then you should pretty much know that Creative has a wide range of offerings available thanks to the Pure Wireless speaker family, the company just announcing a new solution that is going to further increase their portfolio, the Creative ZiiSound T6.

Engineered for wireless audio perfection, as Creative likes to claim, this 2.1 channel solution uses the Bluetooth wireless standard, together with their proprietary apt-X technology, in order to transmit sound up to 10 meters away from the source, a wide range of Bluetooth enabled devices being supported.

Made up of a SLAM subwoofer unit as well as two interestingly designed swivel satellites, this sound system also comes with two additional sound input ports, a USB connector and a line in jack, the digital control pod allowing users to switch between sources or to adjust the volume.

A remote is also provided, Ceative stating its system is capable of 5.1 surround sound playback thanks to its swivel speaker satellites, although it still remains to be seen how well this approach actually works in practice.

"The ZiiSound T6 now reinforces the Pure Wireless speaker family – a family of wireless speakers that offers a wireless speaker for everyone at every price point.

It further enhances Creative’s standing as the only company to offer a full comprehensive range of wireless solutions: from a one-piece speaker, to 2.0 speakers, to 2.1 speakers, and now to multi-channel Surround Sound speakers," said Ting Lai Chu, Vice-President for Advanced Multimedia Group at Creative.

"In fact, with Christmas just round the corner, we will be the only company to offer customers a full range of six wireless speaker models to choose from – something no other company is doing."

Unfortunately no infos regarding output power is provided, although Creative did announce the retail price for the ZiiSound T6, this wireless speaker system coming in at an impressive £349.99.

This is definitely more that what other manufacturers are asking for their wireless speaker solutions, so I hope, for Creative's sake, the ZiiSound T6 can deliver outstanding sound otherwise this won't be worth that much money no matter how hard you try to justify it.
