Another SEGA handheld game

Looks like the Sony handheld console is getting more and more games, and although Sonic Rivals and Sega Genesis Collection weren't a PSP hit, Sega is planning to release another game on this platform. This time it's the turn of Crazy Taxi.

You might remember this crazy game, and you have played it for sure, because it was released almost on every platform out there, Dreamcast, GameCube, PC and of course PlayStation 2. According to GameSpot, Sega just announced the PSP version of Crazy Taxi, dubbed Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars. Apparently, this game will ship this summer both in the US and Europe.

GameSpot reports that the game will feature Crazy Taxi and Crazy Taxi 2 (I'm confused right about now). Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars will take advantage of the PSP's ad hoc connection, so you and your friends can bump into each other to snatch each other's fares.

So far, no rating or price was announced, but there are some official comments on the issue, courtesy of Sega of America marketing vice-president Scott A. Steinberg: "With over 2.7 million games sold to date in the Crazy Taxi franchise, Sega is excited to bring back such a popular series from our vault of classics".

I think Crazy Taxi is a perfect fit for a portable gaming console. What games are better suited for the PSP if not arcades? Maybe you would prefer some MMORPGs? On the other hand, you might say that the PSP gets nothing but ports, but hey, at least they're cheap!
