Sega has just confirmed that it will release a remastered edition of Crazy Taxi as a downloadable title for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this November.

Sega has been working hard lately in order to remaster some of its greatest titles that were made originally for its Dreamcast console, and among them we will see Crazy Taxi.

For those that don't remember, the original title, as its name suggested, tasked players with driving a cab around town, picking up different customers and taking them to their destination.

While that may have sounded boring, you were able to do crazy stunts, indulge in different minigames and meet wacky customers that needed a ride.

Now, Crazy Taxi will soon be back on the current generation consoles, as Sega has finished the porting process and will deliver a high definition title running at 720p in widescreen 16:9 aspect ration.

“Crazy Taxi is the second installment in our Dreamcast revival, and we hope this release will prove every bit as nostalgic to fans as Sonic Adventure did last month!” said Haruki Satomi, VP of Digital Business at SEGA.

Besides the remastered graphics, Crazy Taxi will have online leaderboards, trophy and achievement support, as well as two main game types, Arcade and Original.

It will also have plenty of minigames besides the regular taxi driving mode, a varied map filled with hills perfect for long jumps, and even the possibility of some deep sea exploring, according to Sega.

The HD Crazy Taxi will be available for download on November 23, for North American PlayStation Network users, and November 24 for all Xbox 360 users as well as European or Australian PSN subscribers.

The game will cost 800 Microsoft points on Xbox Live, and $9.99/ £6.29/ €7.99/ AU$ 12.95 on PSN, depending on your own region.
