When you're Lindsay Lohan (or her mother, for that matter), the best way to get out of a nasty situation is to blame everything on someone else and take no responsibility at all in what comes at you. In the past, Dina (this is the same woman who was photographed doing drugs with her underage child Lindsay and who is known for her outrageous comments) has addressed the question of her daughter's heavy partying on several occasions.

At first, she said she was like 'the white Oprah' for the way teenagers in general rely on her, by coming to talk to her about their problems. Then, she said that she can definitely see Lindsay as the next action hero because, well, she has it in her. Just for the record, not once did Dina really address the question of all the pictures that came out in the press and that showed Lindsay obviously intoxicated or that of her unusual comments.

Without being an authority in parenting, it's striking how, instead of supporting Lindsay through this time (which can only be very hard for her), Dina is using the opportunity to make some money by giving interviews. Basically, what she's doing right now is to use every second of her time talking about Lindsay's trip to rehab as if it weren't a place one goes because one has a very serious problem which can no longer be dealt with on one's own, but a freaking college scholarship.

'She's really in a good place right now, spiritually and mentally. She's in an amazing, phenomenal place. She's 20 and she's solid, and she's doing what she needs to do. I don't know that many people who are that secure. It's all about her, and getting back on track. She's fine - she's amazingly fine', she told one US magazine.

Just yesterday, Dina did another interview for 'The Insider' in which she literally cast all the blame for Lindsay's addiction on the media. Oh, and Jessica Simpson divorced Nick Lachey for the same reason that her daughter began drinking! Without saying that she's 100 percent wrong (it's more the attitude that bothers people and not the words that she's saying), maybe Dina should consider spending some time with Lindsay before going off and blowing her big mouth off to the same media that she blames for everything that goes wrong in this world.
