Every once in a while it's good to act like a kid

Crayon Shin-Chan is a contagiously entertaining Japanese anime show, notorious for its low grade yet irresistible humor. No matter how hard I would try, there's nothing quite like it to bear comparison. Pretty much like a bad habit, every attempt at explaining its quality to the unsuspecting audience fails miserably into confusion or disgust. It appears Nintendo is more than willing to take on the challenge and shape up the show into a Wii launch title. The star of the show is Shinnosuke "Shin-Chan" Nohara, a little boy who seems bent on doing everything in his power to annoy his parents and teachers.

The unpredictable munchkin will amaze you with his staggering nonsense and draw a couple of grown-ups to act the same way, just for kicks. In doing so to great success, his intentions are fair, yet the juvenile simple-minded fun will only add to the vexation of others surrounding him. Although Crayon Shin-Chan manga is not the best looking out there, it more than makes up through witty dialogue and uncanny situations. It's Calvin and Hobbes revisited, with bathroom humor to boot, a combination the Japanese are absolutely in love with.

The Wii game is said to showcase the exact same actors doing the voice-overs in the animated series. Labeled as a "family action" title, it is said to feature up to four connections in multiplayer. Mini games spice up the game and are involve playing with Shin-Chan's dog, blowing soap bullets or spreading golf balls across the floor for maximum damage. Although one might mistake it for a children's show, the title is targeted towards the mature audience through his sometime offensive content. Nintendo is said to use Shin-Chan's signature move in the game, which involves him dropping his pants and mooning the audience. While Crayon Shin-Chan will launch in Japan along with the Wii, there are currently no plans for a US release.
