CradlePoint has just unveiled firmware version 4.4.0 targeted at some of its routers, adding new features that improve the overall performance of the suitable devices. Furthermore, the producer has also outed the 4G modem firmware version 3.0.5 for the compatible products.

Specifically speaking, the release is developed for CradlePoint’s CBA750B, IBR650, IBR600, and MBR95 routers, as well as for the MBR1200B, MBR1400, and MBR1400V2 products.

As for the changes that have been made, firmware 4.4.0 adds support for IPv6 suitable for all WAN sources, enabling the IPv6 routing option, as well as the Failover, Failback, and Load Balancing features (if Network Prefix Translation is enabled).

Through this version, the products are capable of passing router-generated traffic to LAN, get a second-stage login option for redirection, benefit from an generatable alert for VPN tunnel going down, and can now disable their default “admin” account.

Moreover, the release changes the data position in the Status → Statistics page so that it can be viewed more easily, improves the APN and Profile management in SIM/APN/Auth Settings, and adds a network option in WAN Configuration → Modem Settings → Network Selection Mode.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that suits your router’s characteristics, and from the list, choose the one that best describes your CradlePoint device.
