This past Tuesday, a coyote pup ran headfirst into a cactus in Sun City West, Arizona. As was to be expected, its close encounter with this wicked plant left it howling in pain.

The coyote pup was spotted by 86-year-old Gwen Maxwell while hanging out on her property all covered in bits and pieces of cactus.

Although the woman called for help, the pup made a getaway before Gwen Maxwell managed to do anything about it.

It was later found by two workers at the Sun City West golf course, who managed to catch it and removed the clumps caught onto its body.

According to Daily Mail, the pup remained surprisingly calm while the golf course workers were busy removing the clumps and the spikes from its fur.

After being rescued, the pup was allowed to return to its family.
