This might just the the first unibody media player anyone's ever made and it belongs to Cowon, a Korean company that doesn't even make the ”world's greatest” consumer electronics manufacturer list.

Cowon didn't make an official announcement but the Z2 did pass through the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and got its approval.

There is only one photo of the item available and it shows only the back, but even that is enough to deduce that it is a slim, quite good-looking consumer electronic.

Alas, there is no data on what the player can or cannot do, except communicate wirelessly via Bluetooth or WiFi.

Going by the expectations that products of this sort have created, however, Full HD media, perhaps even 3D, should be supported.

No word on when sales start, or what price Cowon will demand.
