Cowon has just updated the firmware version of its AW1 auto capsule to 2.3.0. This release brings a lot of fixes, improvements and additional features.

New features include wireless format and MAC Address Display. Also, there's a new “Recording Save Period” setting.

Quality of the recordings has been improved by this release and the ‘LED ON during Parking Recording’ function sees tweaks as well.

Cowon mentions in the release notes fixes addressing the issues with Smart Manager’s Live View delay, errors of recordings’ brightness sporadically set dark and errors of setting time by external GPS.

The period of an event sound effect has been shortened and the performance of Motion Detection has been improved.

To install the firmware, copy the contents of the archive onto the device's memory card (back up your data and format it first) via PC. Make sure that your ignition is on and plug the card in the AW1 dashcam. It will automatically start the update and, when it finishes, the device restarts and "Starting driving recording" Voice Guide will appear.
