The rather appalling beauty products were launched in India not too long ago, also contain cow urine

Most people would do just about anything to pretty themselves up and keep those nasty aging lines at bay. Then again, chances are that there are few people in this world who would even consider letting cow dung or cow urine touch their skin just to look better for their peers.

However, this did not stop Vishva Hindu Parishad, a non-governmental organization in India, from launching a new line of beauty products that have cattle poo and pee listed as their chief ingredients. That's right, it turns out that beauty products made with cow waste actually exist.

The organization says its products are as natural as it gets

The beauty products marketed by Vishva Hindu Parishad, a photo of which is available below, are argued to be among the purest in the world. The organization claims that they are made from natural ingredients alone and, consequently, better than the ones offered by other companies.

For instance, a soap made by this organization has cow urine, almond oil, and aloe vera listed as its most basic ingredients. A not-so-appealing shower gel, on the other hand, contains ash obtained by burning cow dung, distilled cattle poo, and beeswax.

Interestingly enough, Vishva Hindu Parishad claims that the use of cow waste as a beauty product was first documented centuries ago by Hindu traditional medicine. The problem is that, in this day and age, people aren't exactly open to the idea of putting cattle poo and pee on their skin.

“Ayurveda [a system of Hindu traditional medicine] talks about use of cow dung to prevent pimples. But people are reluctant to use dung, which is why we are making beauty products out of it,” organization leader Venkatesh Abdeo explains.

As detailed by Oddity Central, Vishva Hindu Parishad expects its bizarre beauty products to forever change the global skincare industry. The problem is that, in order for this to happen, regular folks who aren't all that familiar with Hindu traditional medicine need to start buying their stuff as well.

The smell isn't as terrible as some might imagine

The organization behind these wacky beauty products says that, contrary to what some might assume, their soaps, shower gels and the like do not smell all that bad. This is because both the cow dung and the cow urine are processed before being added to the mix.

Still, this does not change the fact that, when compared to regular beauty products made by other companies, the ones marketed by this non-governmental organization in India do let out a somewhat unpleasant smell bound to upset those more easily disgusted of the bunch.

Then again, Vishva Hindu Parishad claims that the chances for this to happen are slim to none. As the organization put it, “People do not need to worry about the smell because we have removed most of that as part of the production process.”
