Courtney Stodden was only 16 when she got married to 51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison, but that’s not stopping her from speaking out about their controversial marriage in a bid – they both say – to show the world that their love is real.

After causing a lot of waves with their surprise nuptials and the subsequent interviews, the twosome continue to get a lot of media attention because people seem fascinated with their married life.

From them, Courtney keeps no secret, talking in a recent interview with Radar Online about her wedding, her life at home with Doug and where she thinks this obsession with her comes from.

“We went to the Chateau [Marmont] in Hollywood it was so beautiful it was a wonderful experience,” Courtney says of her wedding night.

She and Doug remained there for the rest of the honeymoon and, from what she tells Radar, they hardly got out of bed. For the record, Courtney claims she was a virgin when she tied the knot.

As for why she thinks her and Doug’s relationship is considered so controversial, Courtney ventures a guess.

“I think it was because he was 51 and his life is over and I’m just venturing out on mine. I’m here to make the second half of [Doug’s] life a lot better!” she says.

Stodden doesn’t rule out the possibility of getting a higher education either: if she were to go to college, she’d go to the University of Doug, where she’d get to study all of Doug’s body and nothing besides it.

“It would be a lot of fun,” she says.

The aspiring singer and (glamour) model also goes into the specifics of domestic bliss, hinting that she hardly does anything around the house.

“He’s cooking for me, cleaning for me, he’s like the wife around the house. He picks up the slack around the house and that’s very inspiring to me. It’s motivating,” she explains.
