Rock singer Courtney Love was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital on Wednesday night with an ambulance, after she has fainted, but she was discharged a few hours later. The incident happened just two days before Love should go to court, to report on her progress in a drug rehabilitation program.

Courtney was attending a party for a jeans brand when she felt faint and went outside for some fresh air, declared her publicist, Jill Fritzo.

"She was at a party, felt faint, went out for air, a friend called an ambulance for precaution, they took her to the hospital and she was released immediately," Fritzo said.

Regarding her progress in the rehabilitation program, Fritzo said the singer is "feeling fantastic" and had repeatedly passed drug tests since March.

Police Officer Kristi Sandoval declared they had a call in the Hollywood area about 10 minutes after midnight, for someone called Courtney L., but didn't want to reveal the nature of the report, arguing it was confidential.

"This is a preliminary investigation report. We don't know who filed it … if it was the victim or another party," Sandoval said.

In 2003, Love pleaded not guilty to felony drug charges related to possession of painkillers. In February of 2004, an arrest warrant was issued for Love after she failed to appear at a preliminary hearing; the warrant was subsequently rescinded when she appeared in court on February 18.

On her 40th birthday, July 9, 2004, she missed a scheduled court appearance relating to an attempted break-in at a boyfriend's house and was found in contempt of court.

Her attorney later said she missed the appearance due to medical problems; later in the month she appeared in court and was sentenced to an 18-month probation and drug rehabilitation program. She first underwent drug treatment after a 2004 conviction for being under the influence of cocaine.
