Gorgeous actress Courteney Cox says that, while she does worry about her weight, she doesn’t like to allow that to stop her from enjoying life with everything it has to offer. So, because she loves food, the 45-year-old star has to make sure she puts in the extra effort to burn the calories and stay in great shape, she says for a recent piece in People magazine.

The star, admired both for her accomplishments in television and her amazing figure, explains that she’s definitely a “fan” of food, in the sense that she doesn’t starve herself or go on too restrictive diets in order to look this good. Since she loves eating, she makes sure she eats only what is good for her, that is, healthy food, and then sees to that she burns all the extra calories by working out.

“At a diner, I’ll get scrambled egg whites, turkey bacon, sliced tomato, cottage cheese and a scooped-out onion bagel with cream cheese… My favorite meal is New York grilled steak with sautéed garlic spinach and broccoli and maybe garlic chips or garlic fries. I like anything green and I love steak,” the former “Friends” actress, now starring in the hit series “Cougar Town,” where she plays a woman her age with a killer body, explains.

As for burning the calories, Cox is a fan of Tracy Anderson and her Method, the same trainer who also brought Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow into shape. “It kicks my [butt] and I love it. The Tracy Anderson Method is two parts: dance aerobics and toning. The whole process is about working your accessory muscles, not just your major muscle groups that get worked all the time. You never stay in one constant motion so you don’t get bulky in one particular area. I was turned onto it in July, and I’ve seen a big change in my body. And you want the [workout] room to be very hot,” the 45-year-old stunner adds.

To make sure she keeps her workout sessions, Courteney always has some music on. She’s discovered Michael Jackson’s songs are extremely motivational, as also are those from Red Hot Chili Peppers, of whom she’s a fan. Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind” is also a personal favorite, Cox says, though, this time, for reasons independent of her love for working out: her daughter Coco knows all of Alicia’s words and can sing along.
