Jennifer Aniston isn't going to be thrilled about this. Her BFF since the days of the popular sitcom “Friends,” Courteney Cox, is getting ready to get married to her boyfriend of just 6 months, when the actress has been engaged significantly longer.

A source close to the couple told Page Six that the actress and the guitarist from the rock band Snow Patrol are very much in love and there are plans set in motion to fulfill their love by getting married as soon as possible.

Although the Scottish rocker McDaid is only 37, which is pretty young compared to Cox's 49 years, the couple have hit it off ever since they first met last year in December at a party and have grown significantly attached to each other.

A big role in this impending marriage is said to be the fact that Johnny has also hit it off with Courteney's daughter, Coco, whom he's impressed so much that she agreed to him marrying her mother. It seems that Coco gave her blessing and now the couple can move ahead to the next stage.

“Johnny loves her daughter Coco, and he wants to marry Courteney. They have discussed getting engaged and everyone thinks it is going to happen,” the source claims, describing the way the two came about to know each other: “She met Johnny through Ed Sheeran, who is friends with Jen Aniston. All of Courteney’s friends love Johnny, which is great because Jen wasn’t so fond of David Arquette.”

For those who don't know, David Arquette is Courteney's ex-husband, with whom she maintains a close friendship despite their split. It's interesting to note that Jennifer Aniston seems to have had a big word in the matter, indicating that there is still some tension related to the fact that she remains an unmarried woman herself.

It seems that just weeks ago the couple was attending Jennifer Aniston's Christmas Party in December 2013, looking very much in love as they walked in hand in hand. At the time, many thought that Johnny would turn out to be just a boy toy for the actress, but these wedding rumors seem to have proven all of us wrong.

Courteney herself gushed about her new conquest, “I couldn't be happier. He supports me in every way . . . He supports me creatively. He really believed in the movie [Just Before I Go] . . . and not just because he likes me, though I know that helps.”
