Star spills the beans on celebrity romance in new interview

Courteney Cox is the perfect example that not every Hollywood divorce has to turn into a mess. After her and David Arquette’s marriage fell apart, she dated a couple of guys for a while, but she’s ready to settle down once more.

As of late last year, the former “Friends” star has been dating Snow Patrol guitarist Johnny McDaid. Several media outlets and especially celebrity bloggers made a big deal of the romance when they were first photographed together because Courteney is 49 and he’s 37, so there’s an age gap that could potentially make things more difficult in a relationship.

According to Ed Sheeran, they’re actually doing great: they’re living together in her Malibu house and are probably making wedding plans as we speak, he says in a new interview with The Mirror.

“I’m not sure that it’s public knowledge, so maybe I shouldn’t have said anything – but, yes, they’re already living together. Things are moving fast. He moved in and, judging by the last time I saw them, they couldn’t be happier,” Ed says.

As it happens, Sheeran takes the credit for playing matchmaker with these two, because he introduced Johnny to his good friend Courteney thinking they would hit it off. He was right.

“They get on really well and are genuinely good friends, pardon the pun,” Ed continues. Asked if wedding bells are in the future, he says, “I wouldn’t be surprised, but it’s still early days. They certainly enjoy each other’s company and feel very comfortable with each other.”

The rumor that Courteney might be walking down the aisle again has actually been around since February, when “insiders” told the tabs that she might actually out-race good friend Jennifer Aniston to the altar.

Unlike Courteney, Jennifer has been engaged to actor / writer Justin Theroux for about a year and a half, and they’re still not even close to picking a date and location for the ceremony, word has it. In fact, it is being said, they might even call off the engagement altogether any day now, as they have drifted apart a lot in recent months, because of their busy working schedules.

Whichever walks down the aisle first, whether Courteney or Jennifer, the other is bound to be there by her side: in a very recent interview, Aniston praised her longtime friend for being there for her through thick and thin, saying she was the sister she could never imagine her life without.
