Actress admits she cheats on her diet, though it’s probably not that often

If you’re in the industry and you want to work, sacrifices must be made. Actress Courteney Cox knows that only too well, which is why she’s always watching what she eats and making sure she gets plenty of exercise.

For instance, she trains with none other than Tracy Anderson, the same woman who once worked with Madonna and who lists the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow among her celebrity clients.

Courteney works out with Tracy four times a week, she says in a new interview cited by the Daily Mail, but that’s not enough to help her maintain her enviable figure.

She also has to be very careful about what she eats, she explains. Still, she too cheats every now and then.

“I do cheat, on occasion, with pasta or bread and butter. And I do eat a lot of cheese and nuts, which is probably not the best idea,” the actress says.

When she’s playing by the rules, though, her diet looks something like this: coffee for breakfast, chicken salad for lunch, and a light dinner of chicken or fish with veggies, she reveals in the same interview.

It’s a sacrifice that Courteney gladly makes, it would seem. She knows that ageing in Hollywood is not easy, but she insists there are some advantages as well, not just cons.

“Beauty over 40 is a slippery slope, but the life experience and knowledge we gain can make us [more beautiful] with age,” she says.

Back on the topic of the Tracy Anderson Method, it’s a well known fact in showbiz that hiring her as a personal trainer means one has to be prepared to stick to a very strict, low-calorie diet in order to get the desired body.

This is precisely why actress Emma Stone made fun of it a while back, as we also reported.

“That diet, have you seen it?” she said of Tracy Anderson’s regime. “It’s like: Eat this diet, which is a palm-size piece of chicken and some beans, and work out two hours a day for the rest of your life,” she added.
