It appears that the fall was serious, hence the fact that the star broke her wrist.
The same source informs us that, shortly after the accident had occurred, Courteney Cox was visited by several physicians who dropped by her hotel room to offer their expert opinion.
Rumor has it they made the celeb wear a cast.
Despite being treated by local doctors, the actress did not take long to book a flight back to the US.
Apparently, she wished to hear what her own physicians had to say about her injury and learn from them whether or not she might require surgery.
