Probably taking into consideration the massive amount of media coverage the two young women generated ever since they hooked up, the organizers of the Billboard Music Awards have asked Brit and Paris to co-host this year's edition, that will take place in Las Vegas.
For the last week or so, the fallen pop star has befriended the socialite, claiming that she sees an 'idol' and a 'role model' in her. Thus, the two spent most of the nights together out clubbing in Vegas or at Paris' house, having sleepovers and pajama parties.
While the partying was going strong, rumor had it that Brit Brit was actually neglecting her recording sessions, meant to pick up the threads of her once highly successful career. However, her publicist infirmed it and promised the fans that a brand new album would come out sometime next year.
A week ago, Britney made a surprise appearance at the American Music Awards, where she introduced winner Mary J. Blige as the best female performer of the year. Her co-hosting the Billboard Music Awards came almost as the next logical step, one of the organizers of the event told 'People'. Plus, what better way to get a higher audience than to bring on stage two of the hottest celebs out there?
'They'll be fun on stage together', he said, adding that they will not be performing at all throughout the night. Among the other artists who will present awards (announced thus far) are Carrie Underwood, Carmen Electra, Dave Navarro, Flavor Flav, Three 6 Mafia and Vanessa Minnillo.
The finalists for the awards will be announced shortly and the big night will take place on Monday, December 4th, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
