Last week, a couple well in their 80s got into a traffic accident while driving around Bel Air, California. For the time being, it is unclear how the accident came to happen. Then again, this piece of information is hardly worth any attention.

What matters is that, just minutes after their car nearly turned topsy-turvy, the octogenarians became the stars of a photo shoot. One that took place smack in the middle of the street, and right next to the vehicle that was still lying on one side.

Then again, seeing how the woman was still trapped inside the car at the time the couple started posing for photos, it makes sense that the shoot had to take place at the scene at the accident, and not in some more exotic location.

By the looks of it, the woman was the one who had the idea to turn an otherwise traumatic experience into an opportunity to have some good old fun, maybe even shock passers-by and acquaintances who would later get to see the photos.

Daily Mail tells us the husband was the first to make it out of the car following the rollover crash, and took his wife's purse with him. Minutes later, the woman asked him to give her back her phone, just so that she might take one or two selfies while trapped inside the vehicle.

The man was quick to obey and fulfill his wife's wish. Shortly after, he started posing for photos himself. At one point, folks who happened to be in the area at the time the accident occurred joined in the fun, and also took pictures of themselves with the couple and the car.

Needless to say, neither the man nor the woman was in any way injured in the rollover crash. On the contrary, witnesses say that, as surprising as this may sound, they were in a peculiarly good mood, and even kept making jokes and laughing.

The bad news is that, not long after the accident occurred, firefighters with the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene and pretty much crashed the party. Thus, they managed to free the woman from inside the car, and reunited her with her husband.

As entertaining as sitting for a photo shoot immediately after being involved in a traffic accident might have been for this octogenarian couple, police officers warn that, more often than not, not being careful enough when driving can have serious and very dramatic consequences.
