The guests may check that they are too lame to attend

A wedding invitation by a creative couple from Chicago has gone viral. The pair did something that many of us would have wished to – have guests explain why they cannot come to their wedding.

Bride Katie Kerr tells WLS Chicago that she let guests answer whether they were attending the wedding or not. They gave them options to check in both cases.

If they did plan on attending, they could check that they were simply coming for the free alcohol. If they did not, they would be slapped with the “lame” label.

"I'm lame. On a scale of one to ten, my lameness would be in the 9.5 to 9.8 range," one of the options reads.

The invitation is a breath of fresh air from other stuffy ones. Kerr and Chris Sabino say that they have enjoyed their 15 minutes, or better yet 24 hours of fame.
