Valve has just deployed a massive new patch for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, tweaking quite a few regular maps but also introducing Operation Bravo, a new wave of paid downloadable content that rewards map creators from the community and gives new official things to do for regular players.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has been a big hit in recent months thanks to the success of projects like Operation Payback or the Arms Deal, which got many players into the online first-person shooter.

Now, a new experiment has been revealed, in the form of Operation Bravo, which is similar to Payback, as Valve wants to reward map makers for their high-quality levels.

Like with Payback, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players can buy the Bravo DLC via Steam for 5.99 USD/EUR. It includes eight new maps playable in Casual, Deathmatch, and Competitive mode, as well as access to a new set of customized weapons and Bravo cases.

Check out the full details about Operation Bravo below, via the official website.

8 MAPS IN CASUAL, DEATHMATCH AND COMPETITIVE MODE – Agency, Ali, Cache, Chinatown, Gwalior, Ruins, Seaside, and Siege. THE OPERATION BRAVO COIN - Buying a pass automatically gets you an Operation Bravo Coin, upgradable through playtime and wins, and viewable wherever your avatar is shown. The Coin also doubles as an operational scorecard, giving you a complete record of your Official Competitive Match stats for the duration of Bravo. GET THE DROP ON EVERYBODY - A Bravo pass gets you exclusive access to 15 map-themed weapon finishes through timed drops on ANY Bravo or non-Bravo map. And don't forget: If you've bought a pass, you can invite your friends to Bravo games even if they don’t have one. GET COMPETITIVE - Enjoy matchmaking-enabled low-ping play on official dedicated servers through eight top-voted community maps — seven all-new, and one returning favorite (Seaside) making its debut as a competitive map. All eight Bravo maps are available in Casual, Deathmatch and Competitive Modes, with the maps' authors getting a portion of the pass proceeds. NON-OPERATIONAL? - You don't have to buy a pass to get some benefit out of Bravo. For the duration of the op, you'll still get a chance at a Bravo case drop, with or without a pass. If you DO have a Bravo pass, you'll get a huge boost to the likelihood of a Bravo case drop, without cutting into your regular timed finish and case drops.

Besides Operation Bravo, a new update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has also been rolled out, so check it out below, via Steam.
