Valve’s Counter-Strike franchise has just been unofficially ported to Android devices. The mobile version of the game is powered by Unity 3D platform and allows Android enthusiast to play online with more than 600 players.

Developed by the folks over at XDA Developers, Counter-Strike 1.6 has two stable versions, which are compatible with certain Android devices.

Version 5o is compatible with devices running Android 2.0 and up (except Ice Cream Sandwich), ARMv6 and GL 1.0+. The second version, 6p works on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and up, ARMv7 and GL 1.0+.

The game seems to work pretty well on Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY, but is a bit buggy and sludgy to control on other Android devices that don’t have gamepads attached.

Both versions of Counter-Strike 1.6 for Android are available for download via XDA Developers. For more details on how to download and install the game head over to their site.
