Badminton is usually a non-violent sport, but that's not the case with the badminton that we're invited to play in Ozura Mobile's latest game, entitled Counter Smash. The game was released yesterday, June 1, via MaxGames, a popular mobile gaming portal that leverages on the FunlogiX platform developed by Ozura.

From Counter Smash's presentation, we understand that it's a combination of badminton and Kung Fu, hence it should offer players a unique mobile gaming experience. You will get to be Max Morales, a young and talented badminton player who decides he has to fight the evil side of badminton. What evil is that? Well, it seems that a player "embodied with darkness", named Lin Done, has transformed the World Cup Badminton into a competition that has nothing to do with the original sport. As Max Morales, you will have to make your way through lots of badminton players, be they evil or not, until you get to play with Lin Done and defeat him - we're not sure if you have to do that with your badminton or with Kung Fu skills.

"Counter Smash on mobile delivers nostalgic, engaging and addictive game play that mobile gamers can have in the palm of their hand. This game provides hours of entertainment and will make a great companion piece for anyone passionate about badminton game", delacred H.E. Mah, Ozura's Vice President of Marketing, in a press release appeared on Ozura's website. "Our game is aiming to be the pinnacle of mobile badminton games; the game promises to bring the most extravagant experiences that have never before been seen on mobile phone devices."

To download Counter Smash, all you have to do is access the MaxGames website, found at this address, either via your handset or via a PC. Note that the new game is compatible with lots of mobile phones, but only from the following manufacturers: Nokia (both the S40 and S60 platforms), Samsung, Motorola and Sony Ericsson.
