Could It Be? Did Jennifer Dump Brad?

I have a feeling Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston should get together one day and stage a big, on-camera reconciliation involving flowers, tears and an exchange of useful cooking recipes. OK, as hilarious as that sounds, I think it would probably be the only thing that would put an end to all the madness that surrounds the so-called drama between Brad Pitt's former wife and his current partner. Although, on the other hand, I really can't imagine life without the imaginary Jolie/Aniston feud. After all, it's such a good way to add a little spice to otherwise boring celebrity events!

Let's take for instance a pre-Oscar charity party that Angelina and Brad are supposed to attend. It's all dressed up celebrities, flawlessly boring make-up, spectacular dresses and... you guessed it, boring chit-chat. Add the seemingly insignificant detail that Jennifer Aniston is also on the guest list (not even sure that she'll actually attend), and you've got yourself a ready-made drama. It's satisfaction guaranteed – whatever one of these three does, it can be interpreted either as an act of war, or as an act of cowardice. The conclusion to all this is that the world hardly needs any more Jennifer – Brangelina drama but it seems that some people out there really didn't get the memo, and are quite happy to stir the pot in search of a little drama – and media attention, just for old times' sake.

Enter country crooner and Aniston camp loony Sheryl Crow, who decided the best way to get some attention herself was to throw her two cents in and comment on how it wasn't Brad who dumped Jen, it was the other way around. Crow claims she learned the truth when she and Aniston became friends after her own split from famous cyclist Lance Armstrong. In a very subtle move, she compared her own relationship to that of Brad and Jen and proclaimed that the media is in fact wrong to treat Aniston as a victim. "For both of us, the perceived idea is that, in our big relationships, we both got dumped. Believe me, this is not true. Neither one of us has ever gotten dumped. No one ever knows what goes on in relationships. Unfortunately, for some people like Jennifer and me, so much is written about things that you don’t say, and so many emotions are attributed to you that you haven’t had", Sheryl added. Yes, well, what can I say – subtle and modest. Could it be that she's also telling the truth?
