Middle tower with bottom-mounted PSU and toolless drive mounting

Cougar just made the official introduction of a new PC case, one that strives to be both versatile and affordable.

Yet again an IT company has officially launched a product without saying how much it costs.

This is doubly unfortunate as Cougar, the company in question, did go as far as saying that the Solution, as the chassis is called, is supposed to be affordable.

Hopefully, it won't take overly long for online stores to list it, along with the amount of money it demands in exchange for its services.

That said, Cougar did put a fair bit of effort into providing this item with appealing assets.

For one, all drive bays are designed with a toolless construction.

That means that buyers won't need a screwdriver or anything of the sort when installing the optical disk drives and hard disk drives / solid state drives.

Secondly, for those who want precise numbers, there are three external 5.25-inch drive bays, six internal 3.5-inch bays, one 2.5-inch bay (also internal) and even an external 3.5-inch bay.

That said, internal ventilation was not forgotten, Cougar having implemented both fans and a cable routing system.

Furthermore, as is becoming fairly popular for new desktop cases, the PSU (power supply unit) compartment is at the bottom instead of the top side.

Finally, the I/O panel, built on the front of the case, near the top, includes a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 connector, one audio jack and one microphone jack.

Cougar made a point of installing an air filter underneath the power supply, so as to prevent those horror movie-type scenes where the dust layer becomes so thick that it seems alive.

All the other fans don't have the luck of such an air cleaner, but the cable routing should make it easy to dust the system off. The large cutout on the motherboard backplate will allow for quick removal of the CPU cooler as well.
