Earlier this month, Cougar let us know that it was preparing a new gaming keyboard, one that was based on the 700K but didn't have all the perks of that flagship. Now, the company has seen fit to provide an update.
Unfortunately, the update comes merely in the form of a few photos, although to be fair the technical information was mostly revealed in the very beginning.
Still, if you were looking forward to the official launch, when you would be allowed to finally place an order, you're out of luck. In fact, the price continues to be kept a secret.
For those who weren't around when the keyboard got previewed the first time, the Cougar 600K uses Cherry MX mechanical key switches. In fact, you can choose from all four options: black, red, brown, and blue. Each has different endurance / tactile feedback / speed.
N-key rollover is available as well (the system will handle simultaneous key presses just fine), along with a programmable backlight, macro support, and the standard 102-keyset with multimedia keys on top of that.
What you won't be seeing is programmable hard-macro keys, but Cougar assumed people will go for the 700K if they really want to go all out.
