Greek leading mobile operator, Cosmote, has launched Ericsson's hosted music service solution for mobile operators. The new service is a white label service branded Music Zone.

The service is available to all Cosmote customers who can now access, download and experience music related content from a wealth of major international and local labels. Ericsson distributes content from EMI, Heaven Music, Sony BMG and Warner Music. The Greek aggregator Cosmo Megala Katastimata provides content from Universal Music and other Greek independent music labels.

Cosmote's Music Zone service, is integrated, hosted, and managed by Ericsson. End users can seamlessly access a number of music content categories such as realtones, polyphonic/monophonic ringtones, artist images and graphics and the latest music industry news. The service agreement also includes full track and video downloads and streaming. To enhance end user experience, Music Zone goes a step further by providing personalized content suggestions based on end users individual tastes and preferences as well as the possibility to access the service from both WAP and web portals.

Ericsson's hosting solutions for enablers, content and applications are part of its industry-leading managed services offering. Operators and media companies can offer consumers a series of portals prepackaged with content from companies such as EMI, Warner Music International, Sony BMG Bloomberg, Heaven Music, Kamera, FashionTV, Mixipix, etc.

The music service is commercially available to Cosmote's customers.
